More weapon styles
More health, maybe this time, 250 health

Maybe so that when you move into the edge, you dont go out of the other edge, its like your moving further and further until you get to the limit...

FUN IDEA LIST:
- make an scenario editor on that game.
- get some more weapons in the game.
- make diferent ships like: stealth, bomber, etc...
- make an level to the players, like: 1-recruit, 2-elite, 3- general.
- put some backgrounds in the scenario.
- get the different color noy by enter list, make an color choose for each player (example: i want to make an color whith yellow and blue, it results in green) or make an RGB tabel to the colors.
- the last idea: get an full colored ships not only the borders, but all the ship

Given that you have a fair amount of programming experience and know languages like C++ and Java I don't think you should have any problem with the language itself.
Therefore I suggest simply getting a book on all the objects and classes you have to learn.
Personally I migrated into flash using an excellent O'Reilly book called Actionscript Cookbook. Of course the language have chance since then. But if there ActionScript 3.0 cookbook is anything like the one I got. I would go buy it on the spot!.

Don't you think that the x3 laser powerup (the ^ thingy) is a little much? It's kinda throwing the game off. Just going one-on-one like that is suicide, and people usually just quit.
I suggest that you should limit it to the double shot, or maybe limit the time--or make limited ammo with the super shot, which would at least prevent people from spamming the spacebar.

One thing I definitely want to see fixed is when there is only the default arena with nobody in it, the number of players still says 1, rather than 0.
Also, something that tells you the name of people who are in any given room before actually entering to see for yourself might be nice.
Finally, when do you think we'll see truly private rooms in this game?

You know Chris, many people have been asking for a "team" system. Maybe you should give the option for a person to create a team (but limit the members to like, 4 or 5 so that a team of 10 doesn't team up against a team of 3). Also, I agree that Asteroids should be added in the game to enhance the game play. Bombs are meh, but an temporary invincible mode ala SMW or StH would be nice. It could last 1/2 as long as a shield, but all you would have to do is run into another ship, and that ship takes 50/100 damage automatically.
Finally, I think the limit of players per room should be raised from 15 to 25, but that may cause lag and server issues, so I'm not sure.

Heh, Stefan I share your pain. I received the exact same message when I was at 550 + kills. I was devastated, but nevertheless, I tried again and I got there! My suggestion is that if you're running other programs while playing MP Asteroids, close them! Or, maybe one time if Shadow, Ami and I are free again, we can help you out. =D

finally the general badge, its a miracle cause when i had 950 kills there was a massive lag (everything stopped for like 1 minute) and then mostly ev1 on the room (it was FULL and ended with 4 people) got ARGHH'd. I survived lol :DDD

I thought about asteroids wich could be in the game. Ships have to react on the movings of them to and they could be used, when the split, to destroy other ships. That would make the game very difficult. One or two 2cm big asteroides would make it.

lol, that last idea is just stupid.
If anything, the lowest person should have boosts and buffs because a person like me would just be unstoppable if I had more power.
The game is fine how it is. Well, there needs to be some type of system to have room control. So that 1-on-1 duels would be more easier to work on. lol, sounds like a whole new game to me.. but yeah.

There should be more points for gaining the General achievment. Since I had no life for one weekend, I spent all night trying to get it and only got up to 600 kills before my room had enough people to have the Manic Achievment sign pop-up saying, "... If you had been a member..."
It sucks dude.. o.o
