OK the final boss of that game the reason why this boss is too easy because the weapon to use guy to make him a slice pie is the earthshaker only three things make this a hard boss first the earthshaker are hard to get, two the weapon the same one you can defeat him easily, number 3 earthshakers are shake it making the boss easy to kill you.

Hardest boss....i can't pick one so heres a few of mine (in no particular order)

Bonetail from Paper mario:TTYD
Eggman vs. Tails (2nd encounter) SA2B
Silver Sonic AND Eggmans final machine from Sonic 2

The Boss (yeah its HER name)and The End
P.S. The End also is the easiest boss in the game. Do you know why? If you save game during the battle, wait one week (just change number day in PS2 settings), and after you can see cutscene with this boss. Naked Snake (it is hero of this game, in future he willbe Big Boss) saw him, then approached to him and said "Hands Up!" (or somth like that). but The End didn't answer, he fell. snake touched him and understand that The End die from old years. Snake thought he didn't win the battle.
P.P.S. why do i say that in past simple? if you really want to know Big Boss and Solid Snake (SPOILER!!!!!) die.

The OP had it right from the beginning. Ikaruga is hard as balls (where the proveribal 'balls' are solid steel marbles of a size that would put even the largest katamari to shame).

I miss the days of hard video games. Super Star Wars anyone? That boss at the end of the sandcrawler level would have destroyed the self esteem of today's youths.

Simple really. Yiazmat off Final Fantasy 12, completing the fight in under 4 hours is seen as incredibly quick.

Ikaruga was a great game....So prefect,so insane and the music the the best of all Bullet hell games O.o

Billions of HP doesn't make for a hard boss, just a tedious one. When a boss is artificially made difficult in this manner, I don't even bother. Even the lamest of developers can add a few extra zeros and say "Oooo, look how TOUGH this guy is!"

The legend that is DOOM 3. This guy on the clip has it ibviously on an easy setting because the demons go down real quick. Pretty much impossible without using and for of cheat :P INFT ammo and health.
