Last year it wasn't like an organized event so I just didn't count when teachers made me talk, but if your school has a GSA (or even if it doesn't, but that helps), just get a group of people to e-mail the headmaster or principal or whatever and explain what it is and why you'd like to do it, and then they'll send an e-mail to the teachers making them aware of the day of silence, and if you're participating, then they're not allowed to make you talk, and you can't get in trouble for refusing ^^

14.6ish > 8

Therefore, I drink an unnaturally large amount of water.

I thought about setting this up as a proof but I decided that I didn't want to.
